Ron Bienvenu

Mr. Bienvenu is a Managing Member of Spear Point Capital Management LLC.  Mr. Bienvenu co-founded Spear Point LLC in 2013, which became Spear Point Capital Management in 2014.  Spear Point LLC employed a successful transaction-oriented activist strategy in connection with its investment in TheStreet, Inc.

From September 2003 through the present, Mr. Bienvenu has been a founder and Managing Member of ISIS Capital Management, LLC (“ISIS”), an investment firm specializing in active investment strategies and strategic transactions in information technology and other sectors.  Among other things, ISIS has led PIPE transactions, bankruptcy restructurings, numerous M&A transactions, reverse mergers, and activist campaigns, including “hostile” transactions and activist campaigns as well as leading dissenter rights objections to public company actions.  Prior to ISIS, Mr. Bienvenu founded Strategic Software Holdings, LLC, a successful investment vehicle that initiated a takeover attempt of Mercator Software, Inc., and invested in other public and private enterprise software companies.  Mr. Bienvenu acted as Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Software Holdings, LLC, from August 2002 through September 2003.

Prior to Strategic Software Holdings, LLC, Mr. Bienvenu served as President of Software at divine, Inc., a publicly traded software company, from May 2001 through July 2002.  During his tenure at divine, Mr. Bienvenu led the planning, acquisition and consolidation of over thirty companies, including five public companies.

Prior to divine, Mr. Bienvenu served as CEO and President of SageMaker, Inc., a provider of digital asset management solutions for Global 2000 companies that he founded in 1992.  Under his guidance, SageMaker raised more than $33 million in venture capital funding and acquired several technology companies in the U.S. and Europe. SageMaker was sold to divine, Inc. in early 2001.  Mr. Bienvenu’s previous industry experience includes the founding of a successful electronic publishing company which was sold to a major publisher in 1991.

Trevor Colhoun

Mr. Colhoun is a member of the General Partner as well as of the Manager, which were both formed in 2014.   Mr. Colhoun has been a member of Spear Point LLC since April 2013.

From September 2009 to December 2013, Mr. Colhoun was Manager of Walnut Financial Services, Inc., which he founded as a subsidiary of Humilis Holdings.  Walnut Financial is a private equity factoring fund that returned 12% annualized returns.

From 2007 to present, Mr. Colhoun has acted as Managing Partner of Humilis Holdings, LP, an investment fund that directed capital in private equity, debt, and real estate equity.

Prior to Humilis Holdings, Mr. Colhoun served as Vice President of Capital Markets at Piper Jaffray from 2002 to 2007.  During his tenure at Piper Jaffray, Mr. Colhoun was instrumental in leading over 50 public company transactions and along with his partner were the largest producers in the firm.

Before joining Piper Jaffray, Mr. Colhoun was an Associate in Institutional Sales with C.E. Unterberg, Towbin, a technology only investment bank, from 2000 to 2002.  Mr. Colhoun served as an Equity Analyst for Bear Stearns from 1998 to 2000 for the firm’s internal equity hedge fund.

Ernest C. Mysogland

Mr. Mysogland is a Managing Member of Spear Point Capital Management LLC.  Mr. Mysogland has over 20 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing and investment transactions.  Since August 2004, Mr. Mysogland has served as Chief Legal Officer of Halo Technology Holdings, Inc., an enterprise software company, handling Halo’s acquisitions, divestitures, securities offerings, and reorganization.  Prior to Halo, Mr. Mysogland was a member of private investment firms where led a successful dissenter’s rights action, managed a proxy contest, and advised on the firms’ activist investments.  Previously, Mr. Mysogland engaged in private legal practice representing investors, issuers, acquirers and targets in public and private mergers and acquisitions, financings, and other strategic transactions.  Mr. Mysogland holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from the Columbia University School of Law.
